The artistic group Teatro GFC, premieres its first play, taking as a starting point the text «Prometheus in chains» by Aeschylus, who is considered the first representative of Greek tragedy. After a series of separate artistic experiences, both in film, TV and theater. Juan Lumé, Italo Spotorno, and Ignacio Verdugo – Team responsible for the creation and generation of projects – meet to work around the re-writing of the project: «Prometheus – The intimacy of man facing the invention of a creator» idea that was born in 2019 after working together on a series of award-winning short films for the production company Go.Films Company of which Juan Lumé and Ignacio Verdugo are founding partners. The Genesis of our work was conceived during a research process that lasted twelve months, giving birth to our first production: PROMETEO, The intimacy of man in front of the invention of a creator». This show has allowed us to explore important themes such as existence. Researching in languages such as expressionism that allows us to materialize in a concrete way the text we have developed, looking for a transgressive and novel language characteristic of the company. Therefore, throughout this creative process we feel motivated to call on different artists with whom we are interested in establishing a nourishing cultural exchange. From the beginning of our work process concepts such as: Existentialism, violence, science, evolution, and knowledge, are mixed in all our creative processes appearing in one way or another. Seeking to generate reflection and debate about the existence of humanity. These concepts have not only been fundamental to the creative process of GFC, but they are also a pillar to lead the public to unknown terrains of their consciousness.
